Nema, I went through a similar ordeal, it is very good that special branch of the police are investigating your case, believe me special branch (sexual assault) are very good at what they do and highly professional, Unlike Child Protection, special branch of the police are able to isolation the emotions involved and concentrate on facts and fact gathering free from objective and emotional behaviours.
if false accusations have been made against you, special branch of the police will identify this as being the case. As for child protection, the most unprofessional government agency I have ever uncluttered and many need further training beyond the scope provided at grass roots level.
If you are cleared by special branch of the police, have Child Protection provide you with a letter of advice of no maltreatment and/or likelyhood of no maltreatment as was in my case.
Police in blue uniform when involving allegations are hopeless and often tend to align with the accuser, but but but a detailed investigation by police investigatiors is a very good outcome as they are well trained, experienced and know how to work out truth from mistruths.
Just believe in the system, your half way there by having Child Protection isolated from the investigation and having the real professionals now involved.
Hi Mark,
I saw your message today while i was in the court. Points you raised came just in time. Timing was perfect, Thank you so much for your help. It was a good assistance for us. After court was with lawyer preparing for the next trail. Following are key points:
DHHS was only trying to push the report from Child Protection Society (CPS),
Our sons interaction with CPS Social worker, It seems our son said that father sexually assaulted, so she is the key witness,
Our son said that he do not want to see his father, thats the DHHS case, child is scared of father.
We asked regarding SOCIT investigation, we are not getting the straight answer from DHHS at all, but they told us their criteria is "Probability of this occurred" and Police special branch SOCIT criteria is different that is "beyond reasonable dough", they are still deflecting to give a straight answer to what exactly happened and where is the report. We did ask them to provide any SOCIT interview videos/Audio or any reports - Tomorrow we will formally ask in writing.
Following are key observations:
1) We had Psychiatrist assessment, Psychiatrist recommended my Ex wife to encouraged to see the father thats in one of there interview reports - However DHHS view is, still its up to us if we would like to take this recommendation or not. They only want to follow CPS a social worker organisation investigation report, who have vested interest in keeping the children in the web of system keeping away from one parent, not even a supervised access, but not a Psychiatrist (Doctor) who is Forensically expert with more than 20 years experience
By the way did anyone come across experience with Child Protection Society (CPS)? I did google them, but any person real experience dealing with them? How can I know what is there internal processes to asses a situation? who are these experts? what is there criteria to determine such complex cases and send recommendation to court, through DHHS? Any Forensic Psychiatrist involved in these assessment? would be good to know
2) I have a feeling that they are deliberately trying to avoid involving other experts who can shed some light on Child sexual abuse, who gives other view than DHHS trying to portray, thereby exposing the gaps and lack of expertise in there processes,
- Thank you mark again we will follow any letter to DHHS from SOCIT of advice of no maltreatment and/or likelihood of no maltreatment, if they have received any. My in First Child Protection (DHHS) case SOCIT was involved, they after some time case was closed by Child Protection, so what has happened with SOCIT investigation we are not getting any clarity from the department. We are also planing to contact the special branch and get as much info as possible directly.
DHHS plan is to give children back to mother in a week or two, who just tried to commit suicide, they have no problems with that. I need to avoid my children going back to mother because they are exposed to Risk and constant denigration of other parent, which is a child abuse. Mental Health is not a flu which can be fixed in a week or two.
Now I'm started to question so called Mental health Experts, this DHHS is picking and choosing now. I might need to get my own privately funded Psychiatrist involved, to verify every thing comes out these reports and asses the child and the mother will all the matters.
Once again mark thank you so much. Please let me know what else possibly we can do. I'm having a lawyer, however inputs from a person who has gone through is valuable inputs what possibly we can do.
Thank you so much.
Neem
