Doesn't help if they find 'another reason' to end your employment. Reasons are often easy to find.

Happy to represent you in an unfair dismissal application when it happens, just not sure it is worth risking your job over one day.

You may have a fair and reasonable employer who will not retaliate against you, but in my experience they are not very common. Plus they are already misleading you over your entitlements.
