Is growing student engagement with social media affecting academic achievement? Thesis journal publication Canada indicates that this has become a pressing concern. Students who spend prolonged hours on the Internet—especially sites like TikTok and Instagram—often say their concentration is impaired, sleep is disrupted, and grades have dropped. While used wisely, social media can be a virtual ally to learning; however, distractions invariably result in the pressure of “being always online” negatively impacting students’ academic performance. Canadian researchers are digging deeper, echoing calls to find a balance between screen time and studies from schools and families. As the digital space expands, knowing its influence on studies is vital. Have we come to a turning point to rethink our screen use? 👩‍💻📚

You have raised an important question and this has been true for a long time for every time. Screen time is killing sleep cycles, increasing health issues and students are not able to concentrate fully on their goals. This problem is no only stick to the younger, elder also facing the same issues.
