There is no written agreement.

What is the best way to give notice and how much should I give for a licensee?

I would like this to happen ASAP, but I am aware of how late in the year it is and would also like to know if he can't or won't find anywhere else soon enough, what I can do next.

Written notice is best, and email is deemed to be written notice.

Don't use txt or facebook or other social media. It is not that they are not accepted by VCAT/courts if it comes to raising a VCAT order, just better if email is used as it can save arguments about people no longer using particular social media services.

Amount of notice should not be less than how often they pay (eg weekly, monthly) and can be longer.
