Surely hiring someone to moderate the site would be much cheaper than the legal costs of doing nothing.

Maybe, but I've offered that in the past and was totally ignored. Besides, that's not really any different to the status quo with us having to "report" breaches of the rules for anything to happen.

The simple fact is that this is not our web site and it's not our responsibility to moderate it. As far as I'm concerned, I'm not reporting anything anymore and if they want my help, they can pay me.

When searching for a topic I would like to filter posts with replies from those without. Naturally, I want to read posts with replies.
