PS re your obnoxious neighbours - in my case I have a similar problem with harassing, stalking, abusive neighbours and police have over 70 videos of the neighbours pouring foul abuse and threats on me. Police also have videos of these two men shining two spotlights on me and abusing me when I got out of my car. They also kept two spotlights on my home for about a month. They kept trying to get police to charge me with attempted murder with no hard evidence. I was planning to murder them with death adders they claimed! They also told police I was spying on them from my roof and from peepholes in my walls and record their private conversations with secret listening devices! Of course these claims were self evidently crazy, but the neighbours did not recognise the craziness but tried get a Peace and Good Behaviour order against me with these most unlikely allegations. The magistrate advised them to consider withdrawing their application, which they did. They put up 24 offensive signs overlooking the street and my yard calling me amongst other untrue insults: a CREEPY PERVERT, ROOFTOP SPY CREEPY PERVERT, STALKER, PEEPING TOM and CRIMINAL! Since early 2023, they routinely abuse me with appalling fabrications over the fence and make death threats. The police have over 70 videos of this, photos, texts and emails demonstrating the danger, fear and anxiety these two sadistic men cause me. Police steadfastly refuse to act. I have complained to Police Minister Purdie twice to no avail. I now have complaints going through the Queensland Human Rights Commission and the CCC, but the queue is long and my complaints have not come up yet. Yet there are numerous precedents on austlii the internet database used by legal professionals. If you google austlii have a look through the search engine for R v Layfield {2003} where the stalker got two years, and, R v Mcdonald [2003] stalker got two years; R v Millar [2002] stalker got two years. Precedents for prosecution and restraining orders and sentencing of stalking neighbours are: R v Tarasiuk [2018] and Mikulcik v Directors of Public prosecutions (QLD) [2003].
