I’m looking for advice related to a personal injury matter involving psychological trauma caused by an incident at a childcare service, which has impacted my ability to work and trust childcare.

My child attended vacation care (2021) and another child under 12 was inappropriate with them. Police and centre were notified at the time (2023) we found out a fair time after the incident.

I now have an infant and I’m experiencing too much anxiety to trust a childcare centre with my baby due to this experience which is impacting my mental health and ability to work. I’m hesitant to do anything as I don’t want my child to have to talk about the incident as I feel that would be unfair to them.

Thoughts? Do I just suck it up? I just have a gut feeling that is hard to ignore and I feel like I haven’t had closure.
