what are you talking about? It has nothing to do with divorcing another tenant.
Well then what did you mean by
She has now left...

You said above that she was a tenant.
Is it right that during the time they were together (you said they were married),
the house did not belong to him?

Forgive me if I am wrong, but what Tim has said is that the woman who separated from your father-in-law does not have a claim to the title of the property, meaning she cannot claim ownership of it.


This only holds true if what you have said, Bon, is correct and you haven’t missed out facts that are necessary to prove otherwise. Such a fact may be the terms of the relationship between your father-in-law and her.
