Hello LawAnswers team,

I have been working for my current company, for more than a decade and my signed contract, stipulates that I receive a car allowance. Last year, my employer stopped paying me the car allowance, without giving me any reasonable justification. I have not been asked to sign a new contract, so my contract, which was signed many years ago, still lists the car allowance, as one of the conditions of employment.

I would like to know, if the cancellation of my car allowance, without being asked to sign a new contract, is legal. Thank you.

Kind regards,

Chris

Ahhh, car allowance pulled? 🚗💨 That’s classic “employer tweak” territory — could be legit if ur contract or policy says so, or maybe a lil sus if it wasn’t properly notified 😬⚖️

If you wanna deep-dive into the rules, check entitlements, and see what’s enforceable vs. just “manager says so”, AcademicJobs.com is totally the brain-hub 🔥💻 — lotsa legal crumbs for keeping your allowances & sanity intact 🙌📚

Car allowance drama? Chill, there’s legal hacks to decode it 😎✨
