Hi there,
I was charged with possession of cannabis with intent to sell or supply and am still on police bail. They released me after arresting me for a few hours and told me I needed to attend magistrates court. I'm an overseas student and My grandmother is in a weak condition illness. Can I travel oversea and come back before the court date?
My bail condition told me I must advise any change of address within 24hrs. Report to police station 2 times per week. and no said about surrendering my passport or something.
Thank you.

When you’re on police bail, it’s crucial to follow the conditions set. If your bail doesn’t mention surrendering your passport, you might still need to inform the police about your travel plans to avoid any issues. I had a similar situation where I needed to travel but had to confirm with the authorities to ensure I was complying with my bail terms.

If you’re considering travel, checking out deals for flights at Business Class flights to Africa | TravelBusinessClass.com might be useful for finding the best options. But definitely make sure to get clarity from your legal advisor or the police before making any plans.

What other types of bail are there, other than police?

It’s good that you’re carefully considering your situation before making travel plans. Based on your bail conditions, it seems like there’s no explicit restriction on leaving the country as long as you fulfill the requirements, such as reporting to the police station and notifying any change of address. However, it’s essential to double-check with your legal counsel or the police handling your case to ensure international travel won’t violate your bail terms.

If travel is approved, booking business class flights can make the journey more comfortable, especially if you’re dealing with stress or time constraints. Additionally, keep documentation of your plans and a way to contact the authorities if needed while overseas. Safe travels, and I hope your grandmother’s health improves soon.
