No, they're two different things:
- In disclaimer, you're saying to the executor, "I don't want it, don't give it to me."
- In assignment, you're saying to the executor, "Yes, please give it to me." Then, you're further dealing with it by giving it away. Not the executor, you. From the executors point of view it is no different than if you accepted it and kept it for yourself.
