Well, he was sold and given the keys and paperwork by the person he believed to be the owner. I guess I'll suggest that he gets a lawyer that specialises in this sort of thing. OK, thanks for your input.

I am curious as to whether your friend had fraud committed against them by way of someone falsely claiming to own the property and "selling" it to your friend. This kind of fraud does happen more often than you'd think.
