If I place a lump sum of funds into my Self Managed Superannuation, will any profits on this be calculated for child support income assessment purposes (once they are in the SMSF)?
I don't think so... Especially if you're not drawing on it.... CSA is based on tax return incomes. But it is done before tax, (I believe) minus about $20 000 which they call the self-maintenance amount (or something like that) so any tax benefit from salary sacrificing can potentially cause you to have an increase in your tax return.
