WA Will My Income Affect Partner's Child Support Payments?

I am in a relationship with a man with one child. I have no children/dependents. He is in the process of an amicable (as can be) divorce and we are hoping for a long happy future together. We are not currently living together but timing has been discussed and so I am seeking information on the financials of it all.

So my question quite simply is, when we become de facto (living together) does my income affect his Child Support Payment?

The only time your income will be considered is if neither of the parents can adequately support the kids, which is a very uncommon scenario.

Can you please elaborate on this scenario, because my partner is receiving child support from his ex as she predominantly earned much more than him. But suddenly she recently quoted to csa that she is earning zero income. So now I am worried that she might be able claim on my income. Can this happen?

BUT My partner's income does not affect the child support I recieve.
Your partner should challenge the change of assessment to $0. Unless SHE just had a baby or a serious accident that stops her from working. But child support has nothing to do with you. It is all to do with the income of the parent's of the children.
