What Kind of Legal Representation Do I Need for Embezzlement?

I admitted to embezzlement. The company assured me they would not be seeking legal action or cease my employment, but is organising an amount (of which their accountant will write off) and I will pay back in instalmemts - this is in writing.

They have since 'changed their mind' and are seeking legal representation. No charges laid as of yet or case put forth.

What kind of legal representation do I need? Criminal, civil?
