Hi
I am not sure if I am in the right forum, but I wanted to know if you purchase and register another companies 1800 number, can you show it with the companies name?

For example if I purchase a '1800 TESTING' and Testing was the other company's business name who did not purchase or register the 1800 number because they let it lapse, am I able to then show '1800 TESTING Specialist' on my website or business card. Please note that the Specialist would be in a small size font so the number with name stood out.

I hope this makes sense.

Thanks

I would say as long as this did not create confusion in the consumers mind that they were contacting you and NOT company "testing" it would be ok.
In other words as long as the purpose is not to deceive or mislead.

You can get and use any phone number. If the number happens to also spell out a name, as long as the name is not copyright/trademarked you can use it.

Where can I go to find out if the name has copyright/trademarked?
