Is it illegal to pay some one else infringement notice. i was driving my dad's car and i got a ticket for speeding (speed camera) and when i got my ticket it was under my dad name but he paid my infringement, is this illegal ?

That's perfectly fine. ;)

As long as it's paid, it doesn't matter who by.

@Scruff 's not quite correct.

If there is a demerit points penalty attached to the offence,
then lying about who was driving
so that somebody else, other than the actual driver, incurs that penalty
is a separate, further offence.
The vernacular term is for this "taking the points".

OTOH, if the only penalty is money, and there is no question of points,
then if Dad "shouts" you, that's OK.

Conceded. Wasn't thinking about demerits, only who actually paid the fine. Dunno how I missed that. :eek:
