14 counts of stealing as a servant some of 40k, no previous criminal history. Which way will this go under criminal law, do you think?

Probably not very well! I'm guessing jail is probably unlikely, but you'll have to pay restitution and most likely a fine and suspended sentence or good behaviour. A lot will depend on why you did it, and your age, and especially how good your lawyer is! Judges really, really hate stealing as a servant, it is one of those things that they go pretty hard on, but with no previous and if you pay it back you should hopefully avoid jail. Good luck!
