Hi,

I recently sold an item on Gumtree which was in full working order when it left my property. I held the item for 24 hours for this guy and now, after having the item for 48 hours, he wants a refund.

I have received various text messages with threats, and have since contacted Gumtree who advised me that I am not obligated to refund the money. I am unaware of the treatment of this item after leaving my property and it was a private sale.

What can I do?

I'm not sure that you need to do anything.
Assuming good faith on your part, if the buyer has a problem,
then it's up to him/her to "start something".
