I have been accused via a Facebook message by a Facebook friend of a friend to have made comments that lead to him losing out on a job.
I have no idea what he is talking about!! He has threatened me to sue for slander.
I have reported the message as spam/abuse to Facebook.
What should I do next?

Keep screen shots of the message(s) in question.
Then do nothing. Have nothing further to do with anyone involved (online or otherwise).
Leave it to the other guy to pick the fight.

Firstly Mareava, I believe what this friend of a friend is referring to is 'defamation'. Slander is an outdated term, suggesting he/she is not aware of what their legal rights are.

I would agree with Tim and keep a record of any communication and don't take any further action.

Best of luck,

Anna

Thanks Anna
That is what I have done, (kept a record of the conversation and let it as that)
