Help!

My husband and I are separating due to a marriage breakdown and we are in the middle of a building contract.

We have had many issues with communication with the builder and signed a contract in December 2015 and so far council approval and building has not commenced. Now my marriage is over and we want to terminate the contract and sell our land.

Can we do this and how can we do this? What are the legally words I need to use to end the contract?

You need legal advice, not legal words.

A lawyer needs to go through the building contract and see what grounds exist for cancellation without penalty. If not done properly it may end up costing you $000s. BTW, might cost $000s anyway, but until the contract is reviewed you won't know.
