NSW Retaining wall repair

Hi,

The retaining wall between my and my neighbour's property is falling apart and needs repair. I read a lot on the internet about the responsibility of paying when building works affect a retaining wall, but what is the responsibility if an existing wall needs repairing? Is it 50-50 between neighbours?
I'm at the lower end of the approximately one metre high wall separating our properties. There is a fence on top of it.

Hi Dennis, from your description of this and how the wall is situated in regards to the fence, I’d say a 50/50 split is likely correct here. Good luck.
