If a Victoria police officer obtained information for a friend so they can use for a court a case against a person. Would it show on the police computer who and what officer was the last person to look at the criminal record?
If you are in Victoria, I assume that you are referring to the Victoria Police Law Enforcement Assistance Program (LEAP).
LEAP has attracted controversy in the past from alleged misuse, such as those set out in this ABC Stateline transcript from 2005 and in this article from The Age in 2006. LEAP is still in-place as at June 2014.
On the basis of the above articles, the LEAP system appears to at least record the searches made by a user (that is, a law enforcement officer). Hope this helps.
