I ran into a funny situation.
I am in Sydney and have my used car for sales online, a guy from Melbourne called up and wanted to buy it for $20k, he hasn't even looked at the car yet and we exchanged message and he paid $2k into my account and said he would come and take it in 4-5 weeks time.
I later found out the car has problem with another potential buyer and he said he is ok to buy this car with $18k. I did end up selling to this new buy and called the original buyer in Melbourne that i would return him the $2k deposit since the car has problem.
Now he is very upset and said that I played game with him and would sue me for the air ticket he purchased, the air tickets he purchased for his mum to come from Queensland to look after his kids so he can leave to come to Sydney etc etc.
He doesn't give me any bank account number to return his $2k.
Will I be sued??
