Hi,

My phone was stolen from the counter of a Repco a couple of years ago,

I know there isn't anything I can do about it now, however, my question is this:

The mobile phone was stolen, my data was completely wiped - the bloke gave the phone to his son, the police tracked the bloke down (he paid card for his purchase). I got the phone back, however all of my data is gone, is that the end of the case? What sort of punishment would the guy have received?

There was no court case to my knowledge, did the guy get off scot free? Who could I contact to find out more?

Thank you all in advance for your help

Kind regards

Rod

Contact the police to see if he got done for theft.

You'd have a civil case for damages against the guy if the police give you paperwork showing the guy had your phone.
