Hi,

This question is about performing professional microneedlinng services remotely and at home. Besides doing a course in infection control and micro-needling do I need any higher level of education to be able to perform a 3mm micro-needling service.
Thanks for your help
Max

Its not about education, it is all about insurance and support if things go wrong.
What would you do if someone gets an infection? What will happen if someone decides to sue you, or a regulatory body investigates your infection control procedures?

You are legally the same as a tattoo parlour.
I recommend a Google Search of "skin penetration nsw"

It is.
And it's entirely appropriate that is should be properly regulated.
Basically, at present, near any wingnut can set themselves up.

Anything involving skin penetration is invasive.
And that, where therapeutic claims are involved, such as with microneedling,
makes it a job for somebody on the AHPRA Register.

And let's be clear about on other thing... NOBODY in the beauty trade is a "health professional"
of the kind referred to in the links above.

Microneedling can be considered a medical treatment unfortunately. It a grey area at the moment probably. Unfortunately though if there is a serious complication, regulatory bodies would be keen to make an example out of your case...
If beauty therapists start advertising it is an accepted beauty therapy, then it would be more publicly accepted as a beauty therapy. Yet to see any beauty therapy courses offering training for it, or develop formal guidelines/policies, insurance etc.
