Hi,

I am just wanting to ask for some advice for a matter to do with Entertainment Law and more accurately Copy Write Infringement.

I released a short film in 2014 titled Matriarch, I have recently discovered a feature film also named Matriarch. Both my film and theirs share the same plot, title, title card font, title character, similar tagline, extremely similar scenes, location and themes.

There is many uncanny similarities between both my film and theirs.

This film was released in 2018, and has just been picked up and released by Lionsgate for distribution in America.

What I wanted to know was what steps I should do to take this matter forward? Are all these similarities enough evidence to make a copy write claim?

Thanks in advance
