I have a no win no fee case in Employment law. 1 week prior to the start of Trial, after lawyers have done all paperwork for the Trial at Federal Court, they decided they could no longer represent me. I was threatened with a change of Judge and suddenly the lawyers got me to Terminate them. I lost around $4000.

It's too late to find new lawyers.

Where would I stand?

You can usually postpone trial dates in time for you to obtain new representation. You would have to apply to the court for new dates.

G'day Sophea,

Thanks, but I went in alone and represented myself, 4 days Federal Court against 3 Solicitors, a Barrister and a Judge. Not bad for a year 9 drop out, lol. Well, not really. I lost, lol. I'm still going for them, just wanted to know if I had any legal rights to get my money back from my lawyers who ran.

Cheers

What reason did they give for dropping the case?
