Hi everyone,
I'm a uni student and find the textbooks in Australia are much more expensive than Asian country published English textbook(same edition, only the cover is foreign language). Hence, can I ship some Asian textbook into Australia and sell them to my classmate? Is it legal?
I did some research on google and found there is a case in US: Kirtsaeng v. John Wiley & Sons, Inc. and finally, the copyright owner lost because of the first-sale doctrine. Moreover, I also found the first-sale doctrine is also in Australian law by searching google but not sure because I am not a law student.
