I have a DVO against me. However, my wife was intoxicated when she gave her details and used her maiden name instead of her married name. She has not used her maiden name since we were married 10 years ago.
A woman's name doesn't change from one to another when she gets married. Rather, it gives them a choice about which one they use. Jane Doe doesn't become Jane Citizen when she gets married, she simply gets to choose whether she uses Jane Doe or Jane Citizen.
Hi,
I have a DVO against me, however, my wife was intoxicated when she gave her details and used her Maiden name instead of her Married name, she has not used her Maiden name since we were married 10 years ago.
Does this make the DVO invalid?
Your reference to 'my wife', leads me to believe you are still together and living under the same roof Sputnik? If this is so, as you will not be able to use 'avoidance' (in the same manner as a person living separately would be able to), then just keep in mind that while the DVO is current, you will need to be very careful not be breach any of its conditions. Even if it is made without admisssion.
Insofar as your question is concerned. No it does not.
