The father is making contact with the child's school and requesting information and school reports to be sent to him.

There is a current no contact apprehended violence order in place and also a court (FCC) order with an injunction stating NO CONTACT WHATSOEVER until further order.

A long history of family violence and drug abuse by the father.

The mother currently has full custody.

Final orders pending.

Does the father have a legal right to do this?

What do the interim parenting orders say about parental responsibility?

If nothing’s mentioned, then dad still has shared parental responsibility, meaning he still has a say about major long-term decisions like education.

On top of that, unless the AVO/parenting order explicitly restricts him from contacting the school, then he’s not in breach of either order by doing so.
