Struggling to arrive at a settlement with ex-wife and now she has told me that she has sold our co-owned car so she can get another car for our son. It was a private sale with a friend at her work but she bought the car with a loan and is now demanding payment as the car is for our son. It has been weeks since the car was sold apparently, so I think she waited until the car was outside the cooling off period.
Is it still possible to find out or obtain the transfer of car ownership paperwork at all as a co-owner of the sold car? Not sure how to go about this. I can't obtain details of the new car loan probably as it is under her name, but it is frustrating feeling powerless and then expected to foot the bill for her decisions.
