How long can a employer suspend an employee with pay, for misconduct under Employment Law? And can the employee resign during investigation?

How long can a employer suspend an employee with pay, for misconduct under Employment Law?

Unless it is in the contract, award or EA, they cannot suspend an employee on pay or off pay unless the health and safety of workers is at risk. If workers are at risk, any suspension should be with pay.

An employee can resign at anytime. We don't condone slavery in Australia, though you may need to give notice.

Sometimes it may be better to negotiate an exit on favourable terms rather than wait for the results of an investigation.
