I received a conviction for DUI (drink driving) in July 2014. It was issued in my absence as I was overseas. The circumstances were that I was of the belief that I was drinking low alcohol beer which was purchased for me. The person in question has admitted they in fact purchased full strength beer which resulted in loss of drivers licence.
My issue is the criminal conviction. I have heard that I should have applied for a section 10. Is there any possibility that I would be able to appeal the criminal conviction based on the above circumstances and the current time frame?
