I haven’t paid my shite rates for several years as I got screwed over major by a previous employer and have been working on clearing other debts. Pay your rates. Discussion over pseudo legal babble isn’t permitted on this forum, so I won’t get into the whys - but they’re wrong. Rates are legal.
Local councils generally have the power to sell your property if you don’t pay for a sufficient period of time. Given your post, I’d say you’re coming into that time range.
