Hi,
I am an Indian male, now a citizen of Australia. I got married 5 years ago and recently have come to a point where divorce is the only options for me.
I have read up on how the divorce granted by an Australian court needs to meet some conditions for it to be recognised in India. My question is more around what happens in regards to our assets being divided. The Assets are mostly in Australia(property, shares, etc).
If for example, The Australian courts pass a judgement on the division of assets, can it be challenged by the courts in India? Would Indian courts have any jurisdiction on how the assets in Australia be divided? if the 2 courts pass radically different judgments, how would they enforce the judgement?
Any help would be appreciated.
