My parents are separated, not legally, and have been for 10+ years. My mother abandoned our family and left my father to raise me and my disabled brother by himself. My dad came home one day and she was just gone and then we moved to QLD from VIC and kept limited contact. My mother contributed nothing to the family even when she was around, she was unemployed and always out gambling our life savings. If my dad decides to divorce will she automatically get 50% or more of all his assets including his super? My 22 y/o disabled brother requires 24/7 care and my dad is his sole provider.
