My builder havent started 2nd stage of construction - Framing since last 7 months. I have been getting multiple excuses for the delay such as weather, material unavailability, shortage of labor.
My HIA contract stats that building work should come to practical completion within 48 weeks from the day its started. Its almost 27 weeks completed however they have only finished the SLAB. i highly doubt that they would be able to complete the project on time. I have not recieved any further extension request or i am not receiving proper response from the builder. only response i am receiving from the builder is that they are trying however its been 7 months and no construction progressed.
Please advise what action I should take ? Should i just wait untill the Building period ends ? what steps i should take ? should I make complaint to FairTrade and seek their help ?
