A very close friend of mine has passed away and had no next of kin.
He advised myself and my wife that a will was prepared with my wife as the executor/beneficiary.
We have used a solicitor to try and locate his lawyer but are yet to find anything and because we are not family the police won't allow for us to look in the home.
Is there any way to get access to the property?
