Hi just trying to get some information on a debt question. Is it too late after 3 and half years to apply for leave of a judgement entered in court? We didn't know at the time we could dispute this in court, when the papers came we just paid as we never disputed what we owed, but believed we also have extenuating circumstances. We also didn't relize it was a judgement as we have never been in debt and are not in debt at the present. It was a complete oversight. At the time, it was a very distressing case going on with grandchildren, we were dealing with and my wife simply forgot to pay the remainder of shire rates and now has made life a bit more difficult. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi James,
  1. Which state/territory are you located in?
  2. Which court was the judgment made in?
  3. What was the judgment? (bankruptcy for non-payment of the council rates?)

Hi John im in west australia it was in the local kalgoorlie court, no bankruptcy, as we were going through a very difficult time regarding taking grandchildren into our care and dealing with child proctection and the wife being in hospital all the time with 1 child she just simply forgot, had no idea it was that bad until we applied for credit and was told a judgement had been made and just took as it came
