Hi

We bought a demonstrator vehicle from a dealer about 3 years ago which had done about 7000 kms at the time of purchase. About 15,000kms the car had to go back to the dealer with a major issue and the transmission had to be replaced. After a few weeks, the repair finally happened and we got the car back.

The car ran fine for some time (perhaps 18 months) until we took it in for a service. The car had developed a very small leak around the drive shaft and a seal had to be replaced. When we got the car back from having the seal replaced, the transmission all of a sudden started giving problems again. It then had to be replaced for the second time.

We have probably done another 15,000 kms since 2nd transmission replacement and it now seems the transmission is playing up again which I suspect will result in another transmission replacement.

The car is covered by a 10 year extended warranty, but we are fed up with the constant problems the car is giving and the hassle of having it back to the dealers on numerous occasions.

Are we entitled to either a replacement car or a refund of our money from the dealer?
