How can you tell if an offer stated for the purchase of a property by a real estate agent is genuine? Is there any way of pinning an Agent down to verify the genuiness of another offer?

Thanks Rod. I was hoping someone would come up with that answer. I'll try that approach. I suppose all they can say is "No" which would really establish the truthfulness of their sales pitch. Thank you.

Contracts for the sale of land in Queensland must be in writing. Therefore an offer must be in writing to be capable of acceptance, in order to form a contract. In practical terms this means a completely filled contract (usually the REIQ one) which is signed by the buyer. Until then, you don’t have an offer - you have an expression of interest at best. And they count for nothing.
