Ive been trying to someone my things back from what would be considered an ex fling, it was originally a "we'll end up together just keep it for now" kind of thing. But we ended up going our separate ways, I've expressed to him that I wish for my things back but he keeps avoiding my attempts by blocking me. Is there any way I can get my belongings back legally? Or is this a lost cause?

You send a demand letter first, then sue him if he ignores you.

I don't remember where he lives.
You're going to need an address.
If you find out where he lives, you may also be able to arrange for police to accompany you while you ask him for your belongings.. It's usually refereed to as a ' Standby breach of peace'
