We are a dental provider in Thailand,
we had recently a customer for dental bridgework. This customer had a chipping on his bridgework after around a month.
We evaluated his case, and expect a error from the dental lab,
So far we are willing to repair this chipping free of charge as its part of the warranty, even most probably caused by an external dental lab(the laboratory agreed to replace the bridge if it cant be repaired).
The patient understood that the error was caused by the lab and agreed by mail, that we as a clinic are not directly responsible for this issue.
During the email conversation the patient blackmailed us, forcing us to pay his flight back, in case we dont, he will ruin the reputation of our office even he acknowledged, that our clinic doesnt have the direct responability for that. Hes blackmailing in the way, that he will destroy our reputation, he will go to the medias, etc.etc. in case we dont pay his flight back.
What can we do against that?

Assuming you conduct business here, find an Australian lawyer to tell him to cease and desist.

re: Airfares, if not already paid then you can refuse to pay.

If you are not conducting business in Australia, then there's little to do here and you talk to a Thai lawyer.
