Hi.
On Aug 4th, I purchased 2 cases of wine from an internet site I have been a member for a few years. It was termed a "Mega Sale", with savings of up to 60% as low as $3 a bottle. The discount was to be applied at purchase.
I purchased and paid for the wine and received a receipt and order number. The discount applied was unusual - being $33, including delivery. I agree that this was a larger discount than I expected. The retailer has not delivered the wine.
I have called them and they have suggested they return my payment and re invoice at the " correct " amount (not sure what that will be). What is the correct way to handle this under Australian Consumer Law?
