Hello,
My son recently hit a car while on his bike. Before I contact my insurance company I'd like members opinion on whether my home and contents insurance policy will cover the significant damage to his car.
The following is the relevant section of the PDS. I'm not sure what 'policy terms and conditions' might restrict any claim.

Auto & General Product Disclosure Statement - Part A
Home & Contents Insurance Policy General Terms and Conditions
Cover Part 3 – Legal Liability Insurance
(continued)
We will not cover you or any other person for any legal liability caused by or in
connection with
(continued):
Transport
the use, ownership or control of:
motor vehicles including, but not limited to, motor bikes, trail bikes, mini
bikes, motorised go-karts, motorised scooters
aircraft or an airfield
watercraft
caravans, trailers or mobile homes
But subject to the policy terms and conditions, we will cover your legal liability for loss
or damage arising out of the use of any of the following items if they do not require
registration or compulsory insurance cover:
bicycle

golf cart or buggy
domestic garden appliance (including a ride-on mower)
a sailboard, surfboard, or non-motorised canoe, kayak or surf ski
wheel chair or invalid scooter.

If it will (or should) do I make the claim or does he? Are several quotes required?
I'll appreciate any answers.
Thank you
